Silver Foam

Foam silver is a kind of metal material with unique structure and excellent performance, which is manufactured from nano or micron level silver or silver alloy powder, and its microstructure form is open pore three-dimensional three-dimensional structure, and the size of the pore diameter is in the micro-nanometer level. The porosity of the silver foam can be selected in the range of 40-95%, the thickness of the material can be as thin as 0.1 mm, and the size of the pores and the form of the structure can be designed and manufactured according to the user's application requirements. This material is widely used in a number of fields due to its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, biocompatibility and filtration properties.

Application Areas.
Electrode materials: silver foam is widely used as an electrode backbone material for new types of batteries such as nickel-zinc batteries and double layer capacitors due to its excellent electrical conductivity. In addition, it is also expected to be popularized as electrode collector for double layer capacitors.
Catalyst: In many organic chemical reactions, silver foam has been tried to be used as a catalyst for chemical reactions because of its large specific surface area.
Thermal conductivity: The excellent thermal conductivity of silver foam makes it a flame retardant material with excellent performance, and it has been applied to many fire-fighting equipments in foreign countries.
Sound deadening and shielding materials: silver foam's acoustic sound deadening effect and electromagnetic shielding properties make it widely used in the field of sound deadening and electromagnetic shielding.
Filtering material: the excellent structural properties of silver foam and its basic harmlessness to human body make it successfully used as a medical filtering material.
Fluid pressure cushioning material: the dispersion and cushioning effect of silver foam on fluid makes it have excellent effect as the pressure reducing protection device of various pressure instruments.
The application of silver foam not only reflects its versatility in technology and engineering, but also demonstrates its potential value in environmental protection, medical treatment, electronics and other fields.
