Nickel Copper Foam
Copper-nickel foam refers to two materials, copper foam and nickel foam.
Copper foam is a new multifunctional material characterized by a large number of connected or disconnected holes uniformly distributed in the copper matrix. This material has good electrical conductivity and ductility, and compared with nickel foam, copper foam has a lower preparation cost and better electrical conductivity. Copper foam can be used in the preparation of battery negative electrode (carrier) materials, catalyst carriers and electromagnetic shielding materials. Especially in the battery as a substrate material for electrodes, copper foam has some obvious advantages, but due to the corrosion resistance of copper is not as good as nickel, thus limiting some of its applications .
Nickel foam, on the other hand, is an excellent acoustic material with a high sound absorption coefficient at high frequencies. Its acoustic performance at low frequencies can be improved by designing the acoustic structure. In addition, nickel foam is one of the best electrode materials for manufacturing cadmium-nickel batteries and hydrogen-nickel batteries .
In summary, copper-nickel foam includes two materials, copper foam and nickel foam, each of which has unique properties and application areas.
