Carbon Foam
Foam carbon is a new type of functional carbon material with special three-dimensional net-like ligament structure, which belongs to porous carbon material.
It is characterized by its unique physical and chemical properties, such as low density, low thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance, wave absorption, noise resistance, and good electrical conductivity, it shows a wide range of application prospects.
Foamed carbon has a wide range of applications including, but not limited to, aerospace, weaponry, fuel cells, medical, and commercial fields. Its use as a functional material can effectively meet the performance requirements in specific application scenarios. For example, in the aerospace field, carbon foam is regarded as one of the main structural materials of the next generation due to its lightweight and high strength properties. In addition, carbon foam also shows great potential for applications in thermal management, electromagnetic shielding, battery electrodes, catalyst carriers, adsorption, etc.
