Niobium Plates/Sheets

Niobium sheet is a metallic material containing the element niobium, which has a variety of uses and excellent properties.

The main component of niobium sheet is niobium (Niobium), with the chemical symbol Nb and atomic number 41, which is a transition metal element. Niobium monomers are a lustrous gray metal. High-purity niobium metal has good ductility, but hardens with increasing impurity content. Niobium has a low capture cross-section for thermal neutrons and is therefore quite useful in the nuclear industry1.

Niobium sheet has a wide range of uses, including but not limited to.

Thermal protection and structural materials in the aviation and aerospace industries.
Electron tubes and other electric vacuum devices.
Superconducting materials.
Heat-resistant alloys and hard alloys.
Can be added to stainless steel to improve strength, toughness and high temperature creep properties at high temperatures.
Used as structural material for atomic energy reactors and packing sleeve material for nuclear fuel.
As an additive for nuclear fuel.
Niobium has a high superconducting transition temperature and its compounds and alloys can be used to make superconducting materials2.
These properties of niobium sheet make it a key material in a wide variety of industrial applications, especially in areas where high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent physical properties are required.
