NS333

NS333 is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with very low silicon and carbon content. NS333 is characterized by. ● Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in both oxidizing and reducing states. ● Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Application areas of NS333. It is used in a wide range of applications in the chemical and petrochemical industry, for example in components and catalytic systems that are in contact with organic substances containing chlorides. The material is particularly suitable for use in high temperature, inorganic and organic acids mixed with impurities (e.g. formic and acetic acids), and corrosive environments in seawater. Other areas of application. ● Pulp and paper industry, e.g. boiling and bleaching vessels ●Scrubber towers, reheaters, wet steam fans, etc. in FGD systems ●Equipment and components for operation in acidic gas environment ● Reactors for acetic acid and acidic products ●Sulfuric acid condenser ●Methylene-diphenyl isocyanate (MDI) ●Production and processing of impure phosphoric acid NS333 Physical properties. Density: ρ=8.9g/cm3 Melting temperature range: 1325~1370℃ NS333 mechanical properties. The small values in the table below are measured on the longitudinal and transverse sides of specimens of standardized size specifications (solid solution treated state), special specification products and special material properties can be customized according to customer requirements. NS333 metallographic structure. NS333 has a face-centered cubic lattice structure, and its chemical composition ensures metallographic stability and resistance to sensitization. NS333 corrosion resistance. The higher molybdenum and chromium content makes NS333 alloy resistant to a variety of chemical media, including reducing media such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine gas, and organic or inorganic chlorine-containing media. Due to its high nickel content, NS333 is effective in resisting stress corrosion cracking due to chlorine, even in hot chloride solutions.
