NS322

NS322 molybdenum-nickel alloy has very low carbon and silicon content, which reduces the precipitation of carbon and other impurity phases in the weld heat affected zone, so its welds also have sufficient corrosion resistance. NS322 molybdenum-nickel alloy has good resistance to corrosion in reducing media, such as hydrochloric acid solutions of various temperatures and concentrations. It also has good resistance to corrosion in moderately concentrated sulfuric acid solutions (or those containing a certain amount of chloride ions). They can also be used in acetic and phosphoric acid environments. Alloys have the best corrosion resistance only when they are in a suitable phase state and have a pure crystal structure.

Process properties and requirements. It should be heated as quickly as possible to the required temperature. Hot working temperature range 1160 °C to 900 °C. The average size of the grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forgings and the final forging temperature. the adhesion of oxides, oxide color and weld slag around the weld seam on the surface of the alloy is stronger than that of stainless steel, and the use of fine-grained abrasive belts or fine-grained grinding wheels is recommended for grinding. NS322 molybdenum-nickel alloy should be machined after annealing, and because of the high work-hardening rate of the material, it is advisable to use a lower cutting speed and heavy feeder for machining than for machining low-alloy standard austenitic stainless steels in order to cut into the cold work-hardened surface layer below Similar Grades Hastelloy B-2 UNS N10665 (USA), NiMo28 (France) Application areas Nickel-containing alloys and nickel-based alloys (i.e., nickel content of 50% or more) play an important role in corrosion-resistant applications in manufacturing industries, [4] and have a wide range of applications in petrochemical, energy manufacturing and pollution control fields, especially in the sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid and other industries
