NS112

NS112 is a fully austenitic low carbon nickel-iron-chromium alloy of the same series as Incoloy 800, which can have a strictly controlled cobalt content of 0.01% or less. NS112 can withstand a wide range of corrosive media. Its high nickel content enables it to resist stress corrosion cracking under aqueous corrosion conditions. The high chromium content provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric and organic acids, but has limited resistance in sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. There is good corrosion resistance to oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, in addition to the potential for pitting corrosion in halides. Good corrosion resistance also in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide. For nitric acid condensers - good corrosion resistance to nitric acid, steam heating tubes - good mechanical properties, heating element tubes - good mechanical properties, etc. For applications up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in the annealed condition.

NS1102 Application Range. NS1102 is widely used in a variety of industrial applications where the operating temperature does not exceed 550°C. Typical applications are Heating pipes, containers, baskets and chains for sulfuric acid pickling plants. Seawater cooling heat exchangers, marine product piping systems, acid gas environment piping. Heat exchangers, evaporators, washing and dipping tubes in phosphoric acid production, etc. Air heat exchanger in petroleum refining Food engineering Chemical process Flame retardant alloys for high pressure oxygen applications.
