Incoloy800HT

INCOLOY800H is an austenitic heat-resistant alloy widely used in high-temperature pressurized structural parts. The high strength of 800H is mainly due to the addition of carbon, aluminum, and titanium elements, and annealing at a minimum temperature of 1149°C to achieve a grain size of ASTM grade 5 or coarser.

Incoloy 800H is used below 787°C and is welded with 82 (ER NiCr-3) wire. R A 330-04 (N08334) wire has a matching coefficient of thermal expansion and higher strength. If maximum mechanical strength is desired, wire 617 (ERNiCrCoMo-1) or electrode 117 (ENiCrCoMo-1) should be used. To avoid grain boundary cracking due to stress relaxation that may occur in 800H welded parts above 538°C, a post-weld heat treatment at 899°C is required, with a holding time of one hour for every 25 mm of material thickness (at least half an hour/25 mm thickness), followed by air cooling. Material standards UNS American Standard: N08811, N08810 W. Nr./EN European Standard: 1.4958, 1.4959 ASTM: B 409, B 408, B 407 ASME: SB-409, SB-408, SB-407 Code Case 1325 Incoloy 800H application areas 1. Nitric acid condenser - resistant to nitric acid corrosion 2.Steam heating tube - very good mechanical properties 3. Heating element tube - very good mechanical properties For applications up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in annealed condition.
