1J85 Permalloy

1J85 is a nickel-iron magnetic alloy with a nickel content of about 80% and an iron content of about 20%. Known for its extremely high magnetic permeability, this allows it to be used as a core material in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as for shielding to shield magnetic fields. Commercial Permalloy alloys typically have a relative permeability of about 100,000, compared to thousands for ordinary steel.

As a typical soft magnetic Permalloy, 1J85 alloy has high initial permeability μ0 and maximum permeability μm as well as high saturation magnetic induction Bs and low coercivity Hc under weak magnetic field, and has stable organization and low sensitivity of magnetic properties to external disturbing factors. These alloys are mainly used in magnetic head cores, magnetic conductors, magnetic shields, housings for recording heads, magnetic chips, sensors, etc., which work under weak AC magnetic fields. With the continuous development of aerospace engineering and electronics industry, the quality requirements for soft magnetic alloys, especially high nickel soft magnetic alloys, are also increasing. 1J85 Permalloy is a high nickel soft magnetic alloy with high initial magnetic permeability, which is widely used in the electronic information industry. Heat treatment process of Permalloy 1J85 ( 1) The chemical composition of the alloy has an influence on the heat treatment process, and by adjusting the heat treatment process, better magnetic properties can be obtained. ( 2) Within 1200 ℃, as the annealing temperature increases, it is beneficial to improve the magnetic properties. ( 3) When the annealing holding time is less than 4h, the appropriate extension of holding time, conducive to improving the magnetic properties. The annealing temperature increases, the holding time can be appropriately shortened. ( 4) Two-step process is also a reasonable process. ( 5) Comprehensive production cost and the above analysis, the best heat treatment process for 1J85 alloy produced by the provincial steel research institute is: heating up to 1150 ℃ with the furnace, holding time of 4h, then slow cooling to 600 ℃, and finally cooling at a rate of more than 500 ℃ / h to 300 ℃ out of the furnace.
